Silver Squill — Ledebouria socialis- 0.5L- Established Bulb Division
Silver Squill — Ledebouria socialis
0.5Liter
Also known as the Leopard Lily, Ledebouria socialis is a charming South African bulb that's as easy to love as it is to grow. Its striking silver-green leaves, splashed with dark leopard-like spots, make it a standout on any windowsill or shelf — and come spring and summer, it rewards you with delicate sprays of tiny greenish-white flowers on slender pink stalks. Ideal for Rockery gardens, though they are frost tender.
These are established bulb divisions with strong, healthy root systems — not seedlings. Each plant has been carefully subdivided and is ready to settle into its new home and grow on from day one.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light — avoid harsh direct sun
- Water: Allow soil to dry out between watering — less is more
- Soil: Well-draining mix (succulent or cactus blend works well)
- Temperature: Happy indoors year-round in NZ conditions
- Repotting: Prefers to be slightly root-bound
