Outdoor Bonsai — Thuja plicata — Windswept Shohin — Rock Grafted Roots — 5+ Years

A rare and captivating windswept shohin — this Thuja plicata (Western Red Cedar) has been trained into a dramatic cascading windswept form since 2025. What makes this tree truly unique is its root system, which has been grafted around a natural rock. The roots are already gripping the stone and can be further exposed at the next repot, progressively revealing more of the dramatic nebari over time.

Standing 20 cm tall, this is a tree with a story to tell — and it will only get more impressive with time. Presented in a handmade Vietnamese clay pot.
