Outdoor Bonsai — Juniperus procumbens 'Nana' — Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper — Penjing Style — 10+ Years
A truly exceptional Penjing-styled juniper — this Juniperus procumbens 'Nana' (Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper) has been growing for 10+ years and has been in active bonsai training since 2025. At 35 cm, the ancient-looking trunk twists dramatically with exposed surface roots before cascading into sweeping, layered foliage pads. A tree with unmistakable presence and age.
What makes this tree extra special is its pot — a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic by Jan, our resident NZ potter. The dark glazed square pot perfectly frames the raw energy of this juniper. Pot and tree together form a complete artistic statement.
